CompositionThe formula. Clearly listed.
Hair Growth Formula combines five nutrients and ingredients in a capsule format intended for a consistent adult routine. This page sets out exactly what is in each capsule, how much, why each nutrient was chosen, and how the figures relate to the Nutrient Reference Values used across the UK.

Why these five nutrients
Each ingredient in Hair Growth Formula was chosen for a specific, well-documented role rather than added simply to lengthen the label. Biotin, also known as Vitamin B7, is included at a level that contributes to the maintenance of normal hair and normal skin, drawing on its established role in keratin-related metabolism. Zinc is present as zinc picolinate, a form commonly used in food supplements, and contributes to the normal function of the immune system as well as the protection of cells from oxidative stress. Selenium, supplied as sodium selenite, shares a similar dual role, supporting normal immune function and helping protect cells from oxidative stress at the levels included here.
Silica, sourced from bamboo extract, is included as a mineral-rich ingredient traditionally associated with hair and nail care routines, though as a botanical-derived ingredient it does not currently carry an authorised nutrient function claim under the retained EU Nutrition and Health Claims Regulation, so we describe it factually rather than attaching a claim to it. Vitamin C, as ascorbic acid, rounds out the formula and contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of skin, alongside its role in supporting the immune system and helping reduce tiredness and fatigue.

Understanding % NRV figures
The % NRV column in the table above shows how much of the Nutrient Reference Value one capsule provides, based on the reference intake figures set out in retained EU food information law. A figure close to 100% means the capsule provides broadly the reference amount used for food labelling purposes for that nutrient; a much higher figure, as with biotin, simply reflects that the reference intake for biotin is set at a low absolute level, and does not indicate any unusual formulation choice. Silica does not carry an established NRV under current UK food labelling rules, which is why that cell in the table is marked with a dash rather than a percentage.
These figures describe the nutrient content of the product only. They are not claims about how the body will use that nutrient, and they should be read alongside, not instead of, a generally varied and balanced diet, which remains the primary source of nutrients for most people most of the time.
"Being able to see the exact form of each nutrient, not just the name, was what convinced me to try it — zinc picolinate specifically, rather than just 'zinc', tells you something about how the product was actually put together." — KP, Cardiff, verified customer
Who the format suits
The capsule format and once-daily dosing were chosen for adults who want a simple, low-effort addition to an existing routine rather than a multi-step regime. It suits people who already take other daily supplements and want to add one more without complicating their morning or evening habit, and people who specifically prefer a single small capsule over larger tablets or powders that need mixing.
What is deliberately not included
We have kept the formula to five ingredients rather than adding a longer list of botanicals or additional vitamins for the sake of label length. Ingredients without a clear, documented rationale for this specific product are left out, and we do not include any ingredient purely because it is trending, since our priority is a formula we can explain clearly on this page rather than one that simply looks more extensive.
Claims, allergens and precautions
Nutrient function claims on this site are made in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1924/2006 as retained in UK law, and refer to the individual nutrients listed above rather than to Hair Growth Formula as a whole. The capsule shell is gluten-free and suitable for vegetarians, but anyone with a specific allergy or intolerance should check the full ingredient list on the pack before use. This product is a food supplement, not a medicine, and does not replace a varied, balanced diet or a healthy lifestyle. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking prescription medication or have an existing medical condition, please consult your GP or a qualified healthcare professional before use, and do not exceed the recommended daily dose of one capsule.
